GCU second in Scotland for KTPs

GLASGOW Caledonian University is now ranked second university in Scotland for the number of Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) running with businesses.

GCU currently has 11 active KTPs, which help businesses to improve their competitiveness, productivity and performance through the better use of the knowledge, technology and skills that are available within UK universities.

The programme is headed by the Technology Strategy Board, a business-led public body established by the Government, and supported by multiple other public sector funding organisations.

GCU’s KTP portfolio spans engineering, food sciences, the creative industries and ICT. KTP projects include work with FMC Technologies, JMP, Shearwater Marine Services and Highland Colour Coaters.
