ReaCH

The Research Centre for Health (ReaCH), in the School of Health and Life Sciences, was launched in February 2020 and provides a hub for research excellence at Glasgow Caledonian University.  Our goal is to translate evidence-based applied health research into meaningful action, improving health and wellbeing for all.

Glasgow Caledonian University has a global reputation as a leader in health research with real-world impact, making a difference to people’s lives at home and abroad.  91% of research carried out by the centre was deemed world-leading or internationally excellent in the latest UK-wide research assessment Research Excellence Framework results.

The centre is home to 10 different health research groups focused on enhancing the lives of people with long-term health conditions as well as developing and evaluating public health and lifestyle interventions.  Working with our communities, practitioners, policymakers, NHS, third sector partners and the Scottish Government, research teams focus on:
