Emma-Jane is both a qualified Physiotherapist and Masseur, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. After graduating from Manchester University she initially worked in the NHS specialising in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, where she trained in the use of Acupuncture, and developed a keen interest in manual, manipulative and soft tissue therapy, and exercise based rehabilitation.

Alongside NHS and private practice work Emma-Jane has worked in professional sport for over 13 years. She spent seven seasons working up to Head Physiotherapist at three different professional Rugby Union clubs in England, and has been a Tournament Physiotherapist to professional players at numerous International Tennis tournaments across Europe. From 2010 to 2011 Emma-Jane was the Head Physiotherapist to the Georgian National Rugby team, which included supporting them at the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand. Since moving north of the border four years ago she has worked for the Scottish Institute of Sport supporting several national teams including Scotland Netball and Scotland Women’s Hockey. Recently she was a Physiotherapist at both the Olympic and Paralympic Games in London 2012, and to the Gymnastics at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.

For five years Emma-Jane lectured in Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels at Birmingham University. She is now full time at Glasgow Caledonian University, splitting her time equally between lecturing in Physiotherapy, and running the Caledonian Clinic. Her main interest remains the use of manual, manipulative and soft tissue therapy alongside home advice and exercise based programmes for the treatment and rehabilitation of all acute and chronic conditions.
