Welcome Caledonian College of Engineering

20 November 2013

GCU has welcomed academic and administrative staff from Oman’s Caledonian College of Engineering to the campus.

The group is visiting the School of Engineering and Built Environment to observe lectures, teach modules and share best practice with GCU colleagues.

Professor Iain Cameron, Vice Dean of the School of Engineering and Built Environment, said: “As our relationship evolves further, GCU and CCE want to increase our staff exchanges. This particular visit is helping CCE staff upskill to ensure they can become more independent education providers, particularly of Honours programmes, as well as contributing to the Sultanate’s “Omanisation” policy. Therefore, as well as extremely experienced academic and administrative staff who are here to broaden their skills, share practice and further develop their relationships with GCU staff,  we have welcomed young, new staff members embarking on a path of lifelong learning.

“The relationship between CCE and EBE is a model of good practice and this visit is further cementing that relationship for the benefit of all our staff and students.”
