GCU is second in the UK for international student satisfaction and first in Scotland for international student support, according to research findings out today.

The International Student Barometer (ISB) summer 2013 survey looks at all aspects of life and study at universities across the UK.

GCU has recorded one of its best results in the ISB, building on impressive scores in the most recent Destination of Leavers of Higher Education survey which show that 96.2 per cent of GCU graduates had found work or embarked on further study within six months of obtaining their degrees.  The DHLE survey placed GCU 2nd in Scotland and 11th in the UK for Graduate employment rates.

The ISB summer 2013 findings for GCU also include:

  • First in Scotland for accommodation costs and visa advice
  • Fourth in the UK and second in Scotland for learning experience and student recommendation
  • 91% international student satisfaction, significantly higher than the UK average

Jackie Main, Director of Student Experience, said: “We are delighted that the GCU student experience has received such a resoundingly positive endorsement from our international student community."

“Staff from across the University have worked in partnership with our international students  to make sure the learning experience, services and support we offer meet their needs and expectations and it is gratifying to see the success of this reflected in these great results.”
