GCU has welcomed students from partner universities in India and China to the campus.

Students and staff from East China University of Science and Technology, the University of Jinan and Chitkara University are at GCU for or a series of lectures, workshops and cultural activities including trips to Loch Lomond and Oban and a tour of the city, as well as a ceilidh.

The students, who are studying finance and engineering, are attending seminars and workshops with the Glasgow School for Business and Society and the School of Engineering and the Built Environment. They are also going on study trips to, for example, Whitelee Wind Farm.

Fiona Carmichael, Exchange and Study Abroad Administrative Assistant, said: “We are delighted to welcome the students from our partner universities to GCU. They are enjoying the academic and cultural experience the University has to offer. It is the first time we have welcomed students from our partners in India and China to visit GCU together, and that is adding immensely to the cultural experience for them and for our home students.”
Students from the universities are regular visitors to the campus and GCU students have visited each of the campuses in China and India. GCU students will visit Chitkara in August.
