League table rise for Glasgow Caledonian University

Five subject areas at Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) have been ranked in the Top Ten in the UK, according to league tables published by the Complete University Guide today,  Wednesday, 26 April.

Optometry, Ophthalmology & Orthoptics and Podiatry (Complementary Medicine) are second in the UK at subject level. Social Work and Forensic Science subjects are ranked as the eighth best subjects in the UK, and Hospitality, Leisure, Recreation & Tourism subjects are fifth in the UK.

GCU has also risen in the Guide’s rankings and is placed 78th out of 129 UK universities.

The University is the second top-performing Scottish modern university and ranked tenth in Scotland.
