GCU Foundation celebrates student funding opportunities for 'Giving Tuesday'

25 November 2016

Glasgow Caledonian University Foundation has raised more £6million for students at GCU.

For ‘Giving Tuesday’, November 29, the Foundation is celebrating its achievements and promoting all the scholarships, awards and initiatives available to help students to make the most of their University experience. Watch a video on the Foundation website about how donations are making a difference to students.

Meet members of the Glasgow Caledonian University Foundation between 12 noon and 2pm in the Campus Life area of the George Moore building to find out about the opportunities available.

GivingTuesday is promoted by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) and encourages people to ‘do good stuff’ for charities and causes throughout the UK.

Through the Glasgow Caledonian University Foundation, support from generous donors, alumni and friends, allows the University to offer:

  • The Magnusson Fund, which offers awards of up to £5,000 to support the dreams of GCU students;
  • The Common Good Fund for GCU clubs and societies;
  • Scholarships, internships and awards supported by Santander Universities;
  • Travel awards funded by donors including Sir Alex Ferguson;
  • Fashion business support from the retailTRUST;
  • Fully funded M&S scholarships to study fashion at GCU London.
