Professor Morgan takes up position as Dean of GCU London

Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) has appointed Professor Antony Morgan as Dean of GCU London.

Professor Morgan joined the University in February 2012, and has been Interim Dean of GCU London since January 2016.

Before becoming Interim Dean, Professor Morgan was Programme Leader for the MSc Public Health programme. Antony has made a significant contribution to the University in his scholarly area of interest of Public Health.

During his time as Interim Dean, he has delivered positive results at the London campus in a number of areas. Professor Morgan will assume his permanent position immediately.

Professor Antony Morgan said: “GCU London has already achieved so much since it was established in 2010.

“I am very happy and fortunate to be leading it into its next phase of development. I cannot do this alone of course – my job will be to further grow the talents of existing staff and to work collaboratively with others to ensure its continued success.

“My goal is to make people proud of GCU London and the contribution it makes to the common good values of the wider University.”

Principal and Vice-Chancellor of GCU, Professor Pamela Gillies, CBE FRSE said: “I know we will benefit from his academic leadership and excellence, across our University community.

“I know that colleagues will join me in wishing Professor Morgan every success in his permanent role.”
