Delegates tour the Journalism studio

GCU has welcomed delegates attending Europe's largest international higher education conference.

More than 50 delegates from around the world who are attending the 27th European Association for International Education conference heard from Principal Professor Pamela Gillies CBE FRSE, Susan McGiffen, Director of Global Engagement & Recruitment, and Mark Anderson, Director of The Europe Office, before touring GCU’s Schools to explore their facilities and meet staff and students.

Ms McGiffen said: “GCU was delighted to welcome conference delegates to share all our campus has to offer. The EAIE conference attracts thousands of education professionals from institutions around the world which, like GCU, are committed to internationalisation. So, it offered a wonderful chance to explore potential partnerships and opportunities to cooperate.”

GCU is a partner university for the conference, which has drawn 5000 education professionals from 90 countries to Glasgow. The EAIE supports institutions internationalise through training, conferences and knowledge acquisition and sharing.

Speakers at the conference, which is being held in Glasgow for the first time, include humanitarian and author Terry Waite and Baroness Helena Kennedy QC. GCU staff are attending and exhibiting.
