GCU has welcomed 77 students from China, Canada, the US and Ghana to its inaugural University-wide International Summer School.

The students will be studying in GCU’s three Schools in subjects including Digital Media in Society, Global Finance, Computing Science and Healthcare Management as well as taking part in a packed programme of cultural activities such as tours of Glasgow, Edinburgh, Fort William, and Loch Lomond, and enjoying a ceilidh.

Susan McGiffen, Director of Admissions and International Partnerships, said: “We are delighted to launch our 2015 International Summer School and to welcome students from around the world to join us and for a packed study and student experience programme. We aim to offer a taste of university study alongside the opportunity to explore Scotland with GCU staff and students as academic hosts and mentors. We are already looking at plans to expand for next year, and we hope that next year’s summer school will be even bigger, offering innovative programmes and a fantastic summer study experience at our three vibrant campuses, in Glasgow, London and New York.

GCU’s inaugural 2015 International Summer School runs until August.
