Dr Romana Ramzan will talk about the diversity and success of women in the gaming industry at the upcoming GamesMasters event.

The event will take place at the National Museum of Scotland on 8 April between 8-9pm.

Dr Ramzan will specifically discuss diversity in the games industry and the approach to computer science and art in schools and the education system.

She will be joined by Dr Jo Twist, CEO of the Association for UK Interactive Entertainment, and Timea Tabori, of games company Rockstar North.

Dr Ramzan, a lecturer in Game Design at GCU and one of the main founders of Scottish Game Jam, said: “The lack of diversity in the games industry is a prominent issue that needs to be tackled. We need to readdress this imbalance so that the industry is more reflective of the people who consume games.”
