PURE and ResearchOnline@GCU
PURE is the university’s current research information system (CRIS). PURE stores and preserves digital content relating to research at GCU, including staff research outputs, projects, activities and impact. All academic staff have accounts in the system to update their research information.
The research repository, ResearchOnline@GCU, is the online PURE portal and displays research outputs, projects and activities linked to staff profiles. The repository increases the visibility of research at GCU by providing open access to research outputs which are free to read and download, and allows staff to meet policy requirements (such as the REF2021 open access policy). The benefits of open access also align with the goals of the University Research Strategy, including international collaboration, research impact and dissemination of research.

You can log on to PURE from the Caledonian Connected home page using the quick links on the top right of the screen. Remember, to use PURE to update your research outputs, profile and activities, you should either be on campus or using a VPN connection. The link looks like this:
