Discipline and country rankings - Essential Science Indicators

Essential Science Indicators (ESI) allows you to see where your inflags stitution ranks within a discipline when compared to other institutions across the world. ESI covers 22 major fields. If your institution appears in any of these categories you are ranked in the top 1%. ESI’s data is retrieved from the Web of Science so it only covers those publications indexed in WoS. It will only allow you to search at the broad discipline level. Learn more about ESI by following their short tutorial.

Most cited papers

Using ESI you can also view the most cited papers in each of the 22 disciplines covered.

  • Highly Cited Papers lists the top cited papers over the past 10 years.
  • esi citation tableHot Papers highlight those papers that reverse the citation trend in their discipline and become known as fast breaking papers.
