What other metrics are available for my publications?
Article Level Metrics are provided for all the open access journals produced by the Public Library of Science. Metrics include:
- Article views
- Bookmarks (how many times articles have been bookmarked)
- Blog coverage
- Comments and notes received
PLoS provide more information about how these metrics are calculated and the issues associated with them. Articles are often hosted in more than one place and it is not currently possible to easily combine data from different sources and platforms.
Other metrics that can be used are views or downloads per article from your own local Institutional Repository, Research online @ GCU. Contact your library if you wish to receive data relating to the number of times your paper(s) has been viewed or downloaded.
