Alternatives to the h-index
As yet there are no alternatives as popular as the h-index.
The g-index is a calculation that places higher emphasis on highly cited articles. It was proposed by Leo Ehhge in his paper Theory and practice of the g-index. Scientometrics, 69(1), (2006) pp.131-152
