Web pages

Using web pages

Having a web presence has become an essential part of research. The following pages will introduce how some researchers make different uses of their webpages. This is an opportunity to reflect on how you could use your web presence to:

  • inform
  • promote
  • communicate and
  • facilitate research

Professor Bob John, Head of Department of Informatics, Director of the Centre for Computational Intelligence at DMU, explains in this video clip how his research group utilises its web presence. The website discussed is at the Centre for Computational Intelligence group. Next Gabriel Egan talks about the benefits to your research of creating your own website. Finally Richard Snape talks about the creation and benefits of a project web site for your research.
