Sulaiman Aldakhil completed his Bachelor in Optometry from King Saud University, Saudi Arabia, 2004. He worked in King Fahad Medical City as an optometrist for seven years. He was covering both the contact lens clinic and the paediatric clinic, and he was also doing fluorescein angiography in the retina clinic. His interest areas are myopia progression, Diabetic retinopathy and Amblyopia. After that, he had his Master in Optometry from University of New South Wales, Sydney, 2012. His master involved advanced contact lens studies, behavioural optometry, visual neuroscience and public health optometry. His special research project was a review of factors influencing the presence and severity of Diabetic Retinopathy. In 2013, he joined Qassim University as a lecturer and from there he took a scholarship to complete his higher studies in vision science. He is now doing his PhD in Myopia progression under the supervision of Dr Lyle Gray, Dr Dirk Seidel and Dr Mhari Day at Glasgow Caledonian University. Apart from his research work, he is teaching Undergraduates as a part of his PhD studies.
