Sally Stewart

Sally Stewart is the Research Project Manager. She manages the Evaluation of Cost of Nosocomial Infection (ECONI) project and is an active member of the Safeguarding Health through Infection Prevention (SHIP) team. She holds an honorary contract with National Services Scotland.

Sally holds BSc in Molecular Biology and an MSc in Clinical Pharmacology. She began her career working for the European Bioinformatics Institute in Heidelberg and Cambridge. Sally has worked in a range of project and trial management throughout her career including project manager for the National HAI Prevalence Survey, Programme Manager for the MRSA Screening Pathfinder Programme, which involved implementing the findings of a Heath Technology Assessment on MRSA Screening, to evaluate the recommendations and then implementing the findings on a national level. Other roles include Senior Trial Manager for the Surgical Obesity Treatment Study (SCOTS) working for the Robertson Centre for Biostatistics at the University of Glasgow and Survey Office Manager: Social and Public Health Sciences Unit, Institute of Health and Wellbeing University of Glasgow: Her research interests are the epidemiology of Healthcare Associated Infection (HAI).

She is a part time tutor at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine on the Project Management Module of their Clinical Trials Masters Programme. She is also in the second year of her PhD studies which will investigate the impact of E.coli antibiotic resistant Healthcare Associate Infections (HAI).
