She obtained an MBA from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2004 prior commencing her post of lecturer in Occupational Therapy in 2005 at the university. Sandra teaches across both the undergraduate and pre-registration Occupational Therapy programmes and was the programme leader for the MSc Occupational Therapy (pre-registration) programme before moving to her current post of programme leader for the BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy programme. Sandra is involved in the teaching of interprofessional modules both at undergraduate and postgraduate level and this is an area in interest for her.
Sandra is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, is a member of the Higher Education Academy and also the British Association of Occupational Therapists. She has had previous involvement with NHS Quality Improvement Scotland when she chaired the Practice Development Network for Occupational Therapy.
