Ross Kincaid

PhD Research Student
Ross graduated from the University of Aberdeen in 2015 with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology. He then worked alongside disabled adults in a support role before returning to Aberdeen to complete an MSc in Health Psychology between 2017-18. Ross began his PhD at Glasgow Caledonian University in late 2018.

Ross’ PhD seeks to establish an evidence base to inform the development and implementation of an online HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) service for gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men (GBMSM). The mixed-methods project aims to understand how GBMSM, health professionals and key third-sector stakeholders feel about PrEP care being delivered online and how to optimally deliver an online PrEP service that is acceptable, feasible and safe. The findings of the project will inform the world’s first automated online PrEP service which has the potential to overcome barriers to PrEP access and provision.
