Dr Frankis completed his degree at Nottingham University (gaining the Allen Standen Prize for AI) and his PhD at Glasgow Caledonian University. He has worked at the Medical Research Council’s Social and Public Health Sciences unit, the Terrence Higgins Trust (London) and Glasgow Caledonian University. His research focus is within the field of sexual health for men who have sex with men, the iatrogenesis of anti-HIV medication and more recently, the intersection of social media and sexual health. Dr Frankis is Senior Lecturer in Research Methods teaching and has led modules at levels 2, 3 and 5. He is currently module leader for the MSc Framework core Research Methods module. Dr Frankis is also a panel member of the Mental Health Tribunal Service, Scotland.
