Dr Mhairi Day

Mhairi is Year Tutor for the 3rd year Optometry Students and currently teaches topics relating to communication, ocular disease and ocular therapeutics. Her main research interests are in ocular motor function, accommodation and myopia. She was awarded a College of Optometrists Research Fellowship Award in 2008 and in the Neil Charman Medal for Outstanding Research as part of the College of Optometrists Research Excellence Awards 2011. Mhairi is trained as an Independent Prescribing Optometrist and is an examiner for the College of Optometrists.
