Diana Moukaddem

PhD Researcher/Graduate Teaching Assistant
Diana is an optometrist from Lebanon, who is currently a second-year PhD student in the vision sciences department. Her research focuses on the short and long-term anatomical changes that occur in long-sighted eyes, under the supervision of Professor Niall Strang.

Earning her BSc in 2015, she worked for two years in Beirut Eye and ENT Specialist Hospital BESH and gained clinical experience, especially in paediatric optometry and binocular vision. Diana completed her MSc degree in the IOVR programme at GCU in 2018 and volunteered in August 2018 on the Phelophepa train, where she offered primary eye care to residents of disadvantaged areas in South Africa.
