Ciara started her PhD full-time in February 2019. Her PhD project aims to develop a self-management intervention for people living with stroke-related visual impairment, using a mixed-methods approach. Ciara is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Research at Glasgow Caledonian University in 2020. Before undertaking her PhD, Ciara graduated with a BSc in Occupational Therapy from the National University of Ireland, Galway in 2018. Ciara has a strong interest in Patient and Public Involvement in research and supports the work of the NMAHP-RU Research Partnership Group alongside her PhD studies.
