Parenting and Family Support

Part of an international research network, the Parenting and Family Support Research programme at Glasgow Caledonian University has a particular focus on intervention research and supporting the transfer of evidence-based parenting and family support interventions into practice. The group undertakes research that seeks to:

  • uncover risk and protective factors in the context of the health and wellbeing of children and young people;
  • investigate the effects of parenting interventions designed to promote health and wellbeing; 
  • and,
  • reduce serious behavioural, emotional and health related problems in children and young people.
