Podiatrists are independent, highly-skilled healthcare professionals who assess, diagnose and treat disorders affecting the foot and lower limb. A number of exciting opportunities exist following completion of the undergraduate degree to work within the NHS or private sectors. For postgraduate students we offer advanced training in specialist areas.

Our State-of-the-art Interprofessional Clinical Simulation Centre on-campus enables students to develop their clinical skills, and work interprofessionally in a simulated environment prior to utilising those skills in the clinical environment. Students also train in our purpose-built clinical teaching facilities based within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde, Southern General Hospital, Glasgow.

Our students have an option to undertake an academic exchange programme in Melbourne, Australia. GCU is the only AHP programme in the UK to offer a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) approved exchange.
