In 2003 he moved to Glasgow taking a senior podiatry post at Stobhill Hospital and Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he broadened his experience with clinics in diabetes, nail surgery, occupational health and musculoskeletal clinics.
In 2005 he pursued a growing interest in foot surgery embarking on an MSc in Theory of Podiatric Surgery and taking a new appointment within the orthopaedic foot and ankle surgery service at the Western Infirmary of Glasgow.
He has been the recipient of a Scottish Executive AHP Travel Scholarship and has received a Silver Award at the Chairman’s Awards at NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. He has published in peer reviewed journals and has presented at national and regional conferences.
He has completed additional post-graduate studies including the certificates in prescription only medicines (POMs), Independent prescribing, corticosteroid injection therapy and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Medical Ultrasound. He was awarded Fellowship of the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 2013.
He is currently serving as a member of the Executive Board for the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (June 2014 – April 2018).
