Marie Therese McDonald

Marie Therese (MT) is a Lecturer in Physiotherapy within the department of Physiotherapy and Paramedicine at Glasgow Caledonian University. Previously, she worked for 19 years in NHS Scotland, latterly working as an Advanced Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist in Rheumatology. She also worked for 2 years as a Researcher Assistant at the University of Glasgow in the school of Nursing and Healthcare. She joined GCU as a lecturer in 2017. Her research interests are adherence to exercise and physiotherapy education.

MT sits on the AStretch committee, which aims to improve the education of physiotherapists’ specialising in Axial Spondyloarthritis. MTs teaches on the undergraduate Anatomy module and the Neuromusculoskeletal modules of the BSc, MSc and Doctorate (pre-registration) programme.
