Laura Hall

Laura has been a lecturer in occupational therapy since 2019, moving from a role in clinical practice at this time. Laura graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with an MSc (Pre-registration) in Occupational Therapy in 2010. She went on to have her dissertation published in the British Journal of Occupational Therapy in 2012. Following graduation, Laura worked for the NHS in various roles, starting as a rotational occupational therapist in Derby and then Glasgow. She went on to specialise in working with older adults, working in a specialist dementia and delirium ward within an acute hospital and then an older adult community mental health team.

In 2017, Laura volunteered as an occupational therapist in a physical rehabilitation centre in Cambodia and has an interest in global health challenges and the role of occupational therapy in promoting health and wellbeing. Laura teaches on both the BSc (Honours) and MSc (Pre-Registration) occupational therapy programmes and enjoys bringing her clinical experience to her role as a lecturer.
