Nicola O'Hare

Lecturer in Fashion and Marketing
Nicola is Programme Leader for BA/BA(Hons) International Fashion Business/Fashion Design with Business, as well as leading the day release Fashion Brand Retailing programme. She teaches across both International Fashion Business and International Fashion Branding programmes. Nicola’s main teaching focus is fashion buying, visual merchandising, as well as new product development and fashion design.

Nicola is currently working towards a Doctorate of Business Administration in the area of fashion entrepreneurship and retail store design. She has published work in the research area of fashion independent retailers in the UK.

Nicola has over fifteen year experience within the fashion industry, working as a womanswear buyer for one of the leading fashion independents in the UK, buying a portfolio of over seventy mainline fashion brands. Her fashion experience is key to Nicola’s teaching and business engagement, working with industry for live students projects.
