Dr Claire MacRae MA Applied SocSci, PgDip Environmental Risk

Claire (MA Applied SocSci, PgDip Environmental Risk) is a Lecturer in the department of Law, Economics, Accounting and Risk and teaches at both postgraduate and undergraduate level. She is the Programme Leader for the BA(Hons) Risk Management and BA(Hons) Risk and Law.

Claire worked for a number of years in insurance (NU), the financial services sector (RBS) and in a social research consultancy before entering academia. She is an experienced researcher and is practiced in qualitative research methods. Claire's current and previous research relates to risk management in organisations and the role of risk-learning; risk, public policy and local government; and public sector finance.
