Les Huckfield

Leslie Huckfield has a range of UK, European and international policy development and implementation experience, including as a Member of the House of Commons and the European Parliament, as a Government Minister in the Department of Industry and as a Member of the Labour Party National Executive Committee.

He holds an Oxford MA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics (1963), an MSc with Distinction at Heriot Watt (2008) and a PhD in Social Enterprise at GCU (2018)

A Master of Commerce at University of Birmingham (1967) was interrupted by his election as MP

Since 2009 he has been a Director of SENSCOT (Social Entrepreneurs’ Network Scotland)

He is a Director of SCDG (Sheffield Cooperative Development Group) and the Aizlewood Group.
He was a member of Shadow Chancellor’s Implementation Group for Doubling the Cooperative Economy
