Mrs Laura Hardingham

Lecturer in Fashion and Marketing
With over 10 years teaching experience Laura has most recently worked as a Fashion Lecturer at Staffordshire University and previously at London College for Design and Fashion in Hanoi, Vietnam and Grays School of Art, Robert Gordon University. These roles cover teaching to a diverse range of nationalities and across both the Higher Education and Further Education sectors. Laura’s areas of specialism are pattern cutting and garment manufacture although she can teach across a range of fashion topics.

Laura has previously conducted research into pedagogical approaches in creative pattern cutting and design principles in working uniforms. She is a fellow of the Higher Education Academy and obtained her PG Cert in Professional Studies (Academic Practice) in 2016.

Previously Laura worked in industry where she gained experience employed as a designer for a company manufacturing survival suits to both national and international clients. Working for a small company gave her a comprehensive knowledge of taking a product from concept to market implementation. She has worked with the Lectra suite of CAD solutions for apparel including pattern cutting, lay planning and made to measure.
