Dr John Cooper

Senior Lecturer
A member of staff at Glasgow Caledonian University for over 30 years, Dr Cooper was a Visiting Professor of Finance at the University of Lima in 1986, at Ohio Northern University in 1992 and at the College of Foreign Trade Budapest in 1994. Dr Cooper specialises in quantitative financial economics and has published extensively in a broad array of journals.

His specialisms and interests lie in the areas of mathematical finance and international finance. He is currently working on a paper designed to explain the mechanics of Collateralised Mortgage Obligations. These have been cited as prime suspects in the development of the current global financial crisis.
