Her main teaching is in management, specifically innovation management and project management and she has considerable experience supervising student dissertations at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Margaret’s recent research has followed two main streams. One stream is enhancing the experience of students articulating from FE colleges to university. This research has included one project examining factors which affect direct entry students’ confidence, while another project researched ways to improve students’ functional writing skills. The other stream of research has involved examining how SMEs measure the effectiveness and return on investment from social media.
