Angus started his career in the late 90s as a freelance print journalist for The Big Issue In Scotland, Metro and Sunday Herald before editing Cog, a Glasgow based arts and culture magazine.

He moved into broadcasting as a researcher on Words With Wark and Frontline Scotland, before becoming an assistant producer for Panorama.

He researched Michael Crick’s best-selling biography of Sir Alex Ferguson and has worked as a consultant on documentaries about Sir Alex and Kenny Dalglish, as well as scripting a drama/documentary about the fall of the Ceausescu regime for the BBC’s Days That Shook The World.

In 2014 he was the series producer for BBC Scotland’s The Referendum Debate.
In 2017 Angus was a producer on Health: Truth or Scare for BBC Current Affairs and consumer affairs programme Supershoppers for Channel 4.

He has previously also taught at the University of West of Scotland and the University of Glasgow in journalism and TV production.
