Dr Noreen Siddiqui

Lecturer, Fashion Marketing
Dr Noreen Siddiqui is a senior lecturer in Marketing and Programme Leader of MSc Marketing. Noreen completed her PhD on the development of internet retailing within the UK high street. Noreen currently teaches Digital Marketing at post graduate and undergraduate levels and supervises student dissertations in this area. She is involved in developing and enhancing the online student learning experience within the Glasgow School for Business and Society. She receives invitations to extend her teaching practice to universities within Europe.

Noreen continues to undertake research within an international context in the areas of digital marketing and social media. She is a doctoral supervisor considering how digital communications are applied to the fields of fashion retailing, modest wear fashion, charities, hotel image and branding and Higher Education. Other areas of interest include, online brand communities, omni-channel retailing and consumption patterns of Gen X consumers. Noreen’s research outputs include journal papers, book chapters and international conferences.

Prior to teaching, Noreen spent a number of years working in retailing working mainly for Marks and Spencer. She is proactive in developing business relations with professional bodies such as the CIM and The Marketing Society and welcomes any opportunity to connect marketing practitioners with engaging students.
