I am a Senior Lecturer in Marketing and Research Methods from Glasgow Caledonian University. I also lead on the international development of research and exchange partnerships for the Glasgow School of Business and Society and lead on academic advising for International Exchanges.

Teaching involves both Undergraduate and Masters level as well as supervision of doctoral students. Research interests and peer reviewed academic publications cover the contexts of retail, luxury, communication and fashion. I endeavour to link my research interests with the social good agenda which is at the forefront of the university’s strategy.
I am also passionate about the benefits of international mobility for both staff and students and the development of intercultural competence and have actively participated in an Erasmus funded project, developing modules relating to Intercultural Competence.

I have supervised doctoral students to completion, examined at doctoral level both within the UK and internationally and am an external examiner at other UK institutions. I am reviewer for academic journals, member of the scientific committee of various conferences and am called to comment upon consumer and retail issues within the national and International press, including the New York Times and I am currently the consumer expert for the Mail on Sunday (Scotland).
