Financial Management Report

The Finance Business Partners use the information gathered from their work with Schools and Support Departments as the basis for reporting to the Executive Board on the financial performance of the University as a whole.

The monthly report to the Executive Board highlights areas of variance with respect to budget achievement. The information provided in this report allows the Executive to make informed decisions in order to ensure the University achieves its financial objectives.

Although produced monthly, this document includes detailed forecasts which are updated quarterly. The forecasts contained within the intervening months are revised for material variances arising out with the quarterly cycle.

Other & Ad hoc Reports

The University Executive Board, Finance and General Purposes Committee, Audit Committee & University Court often require information that is not contained within the regular Financial Management reports. Management Accounting are involved in the production of a range of other reports including corporate risk, financial risk and major investment decisions and are often involved in producing one off reports to meet the requirements of the various committees.
