Facilities Management

From building maintenance and capital refurbishment to timetabling and transport, the Facilities Management Department is responsible for the day-to-day running of the University estate and ensures essential services are in place for all who work, study and visit Glasgow Caledonian University.

The team supports management in implementing the Estates Strategy which aims to provide a campus environment that is consistent with one of the UK’s most dynamic Universities.

The Cowcaddens estate is home to 105,000m² of buildings and 8.6 hectares of grounds, all of which must be maintained, refurbished and remodelled as required to meet the statutory requirements and quality standards desired by the University.
