Dr Gyorgy Lak

Lecturer
Dr Gyorgy (“George”) Lak is currently a lecturer in the School of Computing, Engineering and Built Environment at Glasgow Caledonian University. His teaching interests include Energy Conversion Technologies, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics and Mathematics. His research interests focuses on small, middle and large scale Energy Storage Technologies, especially Batteries; Smart Energy Systems and Renewable and Sustainable Energy Generation. Renewable energy systems that produce electricity intermittently, such as wind and solar power, will be limited in their scope to displace fossil fuels until there are sufficient, affordable advanced energy storage technologies.
