Sarah Dargie

Sarah Dargie is a Lecturer within the Department of Applied Computer Games in the School of Computing, Engineering and Built Environment. Sarah joined Glasgow Caledonian as a Lecturer in Digital Design in 2014. Sarah integrates a background of animation with architectural skills to use visual and 3D methodologies to communicate architectural principles more effectively in the digital realm. After completing an B.Arch at the Glasgow School of Art in 2006 Sarah went on to work in architecture before returning to complete a BA(Hons) degree animation at the University of Dundee in 2011. After completing a MSc. in Animation and Visualisation in Dundee in 2012 Sarah has worked as a freelancer within the visual effects industry and as an environment artist for 2D and 3D games. After contributing to both educational and recreational games, Sarah became involved with education as a career pathway. She is working with staff at GCU to integrate her industry experiences into the academic curriculum and will be working with both students of a 2D and 3D discipline. A fellow of the HEA she completed the PGCE in 2016 and is currently completing a Masters of research as a precursor to a PhD
