CAMAS) is as a high margin consultancy/research service to external companies and organisations (and internal clients) providing toxicology, microscopy and other chemical analysis services, mainly to industry and public bodies, particularly in the Pharmaceutical Environmental and Forensic sectors. CAMAS is centred in the Chemical Sciences division of the Department of Mechanical, Electrical and Environmental Engineering within the School of Engineering and the Built Environment. CAMAS can offer clients a few hours’ testing analysis to longer term research or analytical collaborations.

  • Atomic Force Microscope (AFM) with STM capability
  • Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) with EDX

 

Clients/collaborations have included SEPA, Scottish Water, oil sector companies, pharmaceutical, environmental and forensic/expert witness projects.  For Example:-
