The College Connect Roadshow

Following the launch of the GCU College Connect Strategy 2013-2020 by Principal Pamela Gillies CBE we are now hosting a series of College Connect Roadshow events to discuss the new strategy and related activities with staff.

The College Connect strategy provides a framework for GCU to support articulation and further enhance GCU’s existing relationships with its partner colleges and includes a commitment to enhanced engagement with students through the College Connect Academy, which will encompass a programme of social and academic activities inspired by input from the Caledonian Club, Schools and Colleges Engagement and Transition Team (SCETT), masterclasses, online resources, and an Associate Student Scheme to enrich the student experience and improve articulation rates.

GCU has a long and proud history of successful partnership working with the college sector as part of its commitment to widening participation. The College Connect Strategy 2013-20 represents a new and exciting phase in GCU’s relationship with partner colleges and the University has drawn on the good practice developed through the many initiatives already in place. These include the Greater Glasgow Articulation Partnership (GGAP) and the work undertaken by the Schools and Colleges Engagement and Transition Team (SCETT), the Mentoring and Peer Support Scheme (MAPs) and the Learning Development Centres in the three academic Schools.

The first College Connect Roadshow event is open to all staff and will be held in H113, William Harley Building on Wednesday 12th March at 1pm.  Lunch will be provided.
