GSBS presents business award to Glasgow firm

Vice Dean of Glasgow School for Business and Society, Professor John Lennon

Glasgow School for Business and Society (GSBS) joined Glasgow Chamber of Commerce and other leading institutions to recognise the city’s most successful enterprises at the Glasgow Business Awards.

The GSBS-sponsored award for best performing business with more than 51 employees went to MB Aerospace, an international group that provides engineering solutions to equipment manufacturers in the aerospace and defence market.

Now in its 16th year, the Glasgow Business Awards have grown to be considered the Oscars of the business world and Glasgow School for Business and Society is proud to recognise innovative organisations that show a determination to drive their businesses forward.

The event was held at the Thistle Hotel, Glasgow, and was attended by a number of GCU members of staff, including the Vice Dean of Glasgow School for Business and Society, Professor John Lennon.

Professor Lennon said: “Today’s economy, however challenging, provides a great opportunity for those with the ability to think both globally and creatively, and to act with entrepreneurial flair, qualities which we cultivate in our own students.

“The GSBS-sponsored award recognises those who have prospered in today’s economy and have achieved outstanding business performance.”

GSBS support for the annual awards has helped cement the School’s active participation in the work of Glasgow Chamber of Commerce. Earlier this year, GSBS became a platinum partner of the Chamber and Professor John Wilson, Executive Dean of GSBS, was elected to its ruling Council.
