GCU shortlisted for THE Leadership and Management Award

ClydeUnion Pumps Agreement with GCU

Glasgow Caledonian University has been shortlisted for the Times Higher Education Leadership and Management Awards 2011.

The University has been selected for the category of Knowledge Exchange/Transfer Initiative of the Year for its work through the Scottish Centre for Work Based Learning.

The Centre's team, Vince Mills and Caroline Tuff, together with Fiona Stewart-Knight from the Applied Knowledge Exchange at GCU, design and deliver a range of accredited Work-Based Learning programmes in partnership with clients.

The Centre adopts a creative approach to developing blended learning programmes that suit client educational objectives, delivery modes and timescales.

Working across the university, the Centre collaborates with key academic staff to ensure that programmes meet client expectations and strategic aims.

Current clients and partners include Scottish and Southern Energy, ClydeUnion Pumps, the Institution of Railway Operators and SCVO.

The Times Higher Education Leadership and Management Awards ceremony takes place in London on 16th June.
