Equipment descriptions

Pulse Fitness Run - low-impact elevation treadmill

Walking or running on a treadmill can improve cardiovascular health and will burn calories leading to weight loss. Using the treadmill strengthens and tones your calves, buttocks, quadriceps and hamstring muscles. Increase the difficulty by raising the incline or increasing the speed, or both.

Pulse Fitness X-Train - elliptical cross trainers

An ideal piece of equipment for getting a full-body workout. Moving handlebars allow you to work your shoulders, back, chest and arms while simultaneously exercising your legs. This means you have options when you use a cross trainer – choose to work your upper and lower body, or focus on specific lower-body muscle groups.

Wattbike

Wattbike combines the most advanced indoor bike with the latest digital technology and world-class training support.

Pulse Fitness AirBike

More suited to high-intensity interval training (HIIT), the AirBike can give a full-body workout in 15 minutes. Short bursts of pedalling and handlebar pulling and pushing causes an increase in heart rate which activates sweating but also fat burning.

Pulse Fitness CrossClimb - independent seated stepper

CrossClimb combines the very best of cardiovascular training alongside resistance exercise, providing users with an all-round workout.

Rowing machines

Rowing machines offer a full-body workout out with minimal impact on joints. The rower engages the arms, back, core and glutes as well as the heart and lungs.

Pulse Fitness U-Cycle - upright cycle

A stationary upright bike can work out a lot more than just your leg muscles. With proper form, an exercise bike workout can actively engage core and upper body. An ideal exercise for beginners, offering an efficient calorie-burning, muscle-toning workout.

StairMaster

StairMaster is a revolving staircase that puts your body through a full range of motion so your entire lower body is targeted. Your calves, quads, hamstrings and glutes are continuously worked as you mimic a stepping motion. In 45 minutes, the StairMaster burns approximately 360 calories for a 150-lb. person. If you are looking for a strength and cardiovascular workout, the StairMaster is the one for you.
