He recently reprised his role as Rick Blaine in the stage production of Casablanca, the character made famous by Humphrey Bogart. Casablanca, The Gin Joint Cut started as a one-off piece for the Play, Pie and a Pint at Oran Mor, and has since toured Scotland, Bristol, London, Barbados, Paris and soon to be New York. Gavin has also played a pivotal part in Glasgow’s much-loved panto scene, appearing in lead roles at the Kings Theatre constantly over the past decade.

Gavin has been a massive supporter of MATV over the last 8 years, attending events, performing work written by students and graduates, and sharing his insights and experience.

"I consider it a huge honour to be asked to support the University, celebrating and encouraging new and future talent from both Scotland and all over the world."
