"Here's to the women who continue to fight for equality, to the women who refuse to be silenced, who shout louder and in greater numbers in order to leave a better world to the girls of the future. To the inspirational women in my life and to all the others I'd be so lucky to know, thank you for all that you do, not just today but everyday."

Amy is a talented reporter, video journalist and radio presenter. While a student, her documentary on legal highs earned her the prestigious Callum MacDonald Award at the Scottish Student Journalist Awards.

She has since been a reporter for West FM and West Sound Radio. Then she moved to STV where she reported on ground-breaking stories, like the refugee crisis in Calais. Now she presents the breakfast show on Capital FM with Des Clarke.

“After an amazing four years at university, I quickly got to put my degree knowledge into practice when I secured my first job at West FM in Ayrshire. After eight months, I moved to STV as a reporter for the new Glasgow channel.

“I've met some inspirational people and already learned so much from the dedicated friendly team here. I’m looking forward to what's hopefully a long future in broadcast journalism.”
